We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Optimisation (SMO) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to maintain and enhance their social media profiles, drive engagement, and bring fresh, dynamic ideas for content and campaigns. Operating in the Australian market, this role requires excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a passion for creativity and an eye for detail.
Develop innovative ideas for social media posts tailored to each client’s brand and audience.
Plan, schedule, and optimise posts for maximum engagement across all platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
Review content for grammatical and spelling accuracy.
Ensure all posts are visually appealing and align with the brand’s style and tone.
Provide constructive feedback on designs and captions.
Maintain open and professional communication with clients to understand their goals and share recommendations.
Present strategies, reports, and insights to clients regularly.
Monitor social media performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies accordingly.
Generate reports showcasing campaign success, audience growth, and engagement.
Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
Proactively suggest modest and unique ideas to enhance social profiles and engagement.
Be open to supporting other roles and functions within the organization when required.
Adapt to evolving priorities and showcase flexibility to assist in achieving team objectives.
Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and their optimisation strategies.
Fluent in English with excellent writing, reading, and verbal communication skills.
Eye for design, with the ability to spot visual inconsistencies and review creative assets critically.
Familiarity with tools like Canva or similar for design input is a plus.
Attention to detail to ensure posts are error-free and on-brand.
Proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take initiative and solve challenges.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
1-3 years of experience in social media optimisation or digital marketing.
Hands-on experience with scheduling tools
Basic understanding of paid social media campaigns is advantageous.
